Faculty at the School for Higher Economics in Moscow have developed a news literacy curriculum that closely follows the Stony Brook model. Since 2013, 8 HSE faculty members have participated in the Stony Brook Summer Institute and taken those experiences back to Moscow. In the fall of 2014, Prof Anna Kolchina and her colleagues taught the course to over 100 undergraduates. Their rigorous academic approach and the materials they have developed for their classes have added immeasurably to our efforts to spread news literacy overseas.
