At the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahmanin in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Sharon Wilson Ramendran, a graduate of the 2014 Hong Kong News Literacy Summer Institute, has incorporated news literacy into two courses: Introduction to Journalism and Media Ethics. She has been happy with the results and expects that eventually about half of the Introduction course will be based on news literacy and one quarter of the ethics course. She is also running a news literacy workshop for her colleagues who teach media-related courses at her university, including most, if not all, faculty members from the journalism department.
